Repair work nearing completion for a boundary wall at Hereford Cathedral this week. New soft lime putty from @tymawrlime replacing hard cementitious mortar, allowing the structure to breath. The weather has been against contractors but they had persevered with temporary shelters and works are progressing well. . Good progress showcasing National Heritage Lottery Funded new #cotswoldstone roof slates at a church repair in #gloucestershire. The new stone blends wells with the existing with a range of hues and colours. Stone roof slating is becoming increasingly rare due to cost of the material and limited numbers of suppliers but it’s definitely worth the effort. . #architectsgloucestershire #buildingconservation #churchrepair

The team are excavating the tower floor under the watchful eye of our archaeologist to form a new communal space developing the outreach and mission of the church. . Works include moving the font, new lighting and heating services as well as WCs and kitchen facilities.
